The patent, No. 7,069,233, encompasses various systems and methods for assessing public heath conditions related to effective analysis of retail sales data including, but not limited to, the acquisition of information pertaining to the sale of applicable retail products, the categorization of such information, presentation of biosurveillance data, and alert notifications in response to the determination of abnormalities.
